Idle games
ScholarshipNot a paper yet. A shared live economy you can retune in public is a game-based learning object, if anyone sat down and treated it as one. I have not.
TeachingNot on a timetable yet. Happy Land’s odds live at the top of a file so they can change while people are in the map. A class watching a system change, and arguing about it, is not a big leap from a cookie clicker.
I wanted a multiplayer cookie clicker on one screen, one URL, for stream. That is what Happy Land is. The interesting bit for me is not the mine. It is that everyone shares the same map, and the knobs can move while you are in it.
I have not pointed a class at it instead of a stream.
Already tied to
- Streaming. Happy Land is built to be fiddled with live, on a phone, one URL.
Could be built
- Classroom games. Change the odds while a class is in the map, and talk about the system rather than the mine.
