A sharing database for Health and Life Sciences staff at the University of Liverpool. Mostly so people put their teaching projects in one place, find related work, and maybe stop reinventing the same thing down the corridor.
A staff catalogue that tries to show this teaching project is related to that one.
2021–ongoing
A web app for spreading students across hospital sites without living in last year’s spreadsheet. Trusts confirm capacity, universities have preferences, academic years stack up, and somebody still has to email people when a site has not filled in this year’s numbers.
Hospital sites, how many students they can take this year, university preferences, and the spreadsheet that used to hold all of it.
2024–ongoing
A web app for ranking work by repeatedly picking which of two things is better. A collaboration between Liverpool’s Centre for Educational Development and Support, the School of Dentistry, and the School of Biosciences. Students use it to peer-assess and actually look at the work; staff use it to mark at scale; it has also been used with movie posters as an icebreaker. Dentistry is using it live.
Keep picking which poster is better, zoom in like a museum, and keep a spreadsheet people actually trust.
